We've pioneered the use of 3d scanning, computer aided design and 3d printing to produce custom breast prostheses that are lighter, more comfortable and better contoured than stock alternatives. The Maxillofacial Lab at Morriston have built upon work undertaken in collaboration with PDR to understand the needs of prosthesis users and the use of 3d Systems Geomagic FreeForm Plus for design.
The Morriston team have also pioneered the use of foaming silicone to create the optimal prosthesis feel.
